We are the youngest section in our family of scouts, welcoming enthusiastic young members as early as four years old. As they grow and develop, around their sixth birthday, we begin preparing them for the next exciting step in their scouting journey, transitioning them to Beaver Scouts.
What do Squirrels in the 3rd get up to?
A Squirrel's time in the 'drey' is packed full of fun, games, and activities as they hop, skip and jump their way through anything they do. No two weeks are the same: exploring the great outdoors, learning new things, helping others in their own way, and even overnight sleepovers packed full of activities!
At Scouts, we think these early years are amazing for later life: minds are fizzing and energy levels are sky-high. They're experts at dreaming big while looking for anything that fills their life with wow and wonders.
Putting the pieces together.
As well as making and living by their promise, Squirrels work towards badges and awards like any other Scout. Trying new things and having fun is the focus for us and we're working with the best to give them the best possible start.
Each week as Squirrels we look forward to working towards new skills and love to show these off as badges on our jumpers. Our badges cover a huge range of skills and all help to prepare us for life and the big world ahead!
